One Family Fund
At Juniper, everyone who lives or works with us is part of our family. And like many families, we are comprised of diverse personalities and individual means. But despite our differences, we know we are stronger when we work together and support one another in good times and in bad. Our One Family Fund is one way in which our Juniper family cares for one another. The One Family Fund is dedicated to providing financial assistance to Associates during times of unpredictable hardship.

The One Family Fund started as the Spearly Jeans Fund. Every Associate who chose to was invited to contribute to the fund in exchange for the privilege of wearing jeans on Friday. The monies in the Jeans Fund soon began to grow and the Associates at Spearly agreed to use the fund to support each other with small loans in difficult times. The One Family Fund is controlled and administered by our community Associates. It is designed to benefit eligible Juniper Associates and their families in times of unpredictable hardship.

Whole Person Wellness
For Juniper Communities, nurturing the spirit of life is more than just a catch phrase; it is the heart of our mission. To bring our mission to life we have designed, developed and implemented, signature activity programming called Alive in All Seasons. This programming is based upon the concept of whole person wellness that addresses six dimensions: physical, social, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and vocational.

To further our commitment, Juniper Communities has joined forces with Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging, a national, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the mission of creating ways to age well. As part of this partnership our residents receive a Resident Whole Person Wellness Survey yearly. This survey, developed by Perry Edelman, Ph.D. assesses, from the resident’s perspective, satisfaction, stage of change, self-efficacy and goals across the 6 wellness dimensions. The survey provides valuable information that enables us to further enhance our signature program, Alive in All Seasons. It also provides data to Mather LifeWays which facilitates their research in whole person wellness.
