Since its inception, Juniper has been committed to giving back to the communities in which we operate. We strive to assure that our residences serve as community centers offering programs and support services for frail elders and those with chronic illness, as well as their families and friends in the community at large. Through these activities we are able to support the needs of the community and enable residents to remain integrated within the local social fabric.
We are also committed to advancing knowledge in the long term care field overall. Through such initiatives as the development of a master’s degree program in gerontology and long term care management at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, spearheading research projects, and participating on boards of organizations promoting the well-being of seniors and otherwise challenged individuals, we fulfill our goal of improving the quality of long term care even beyond the communities where Juniper residences are located.
We invite you - elders, family, friends, advocates, care-givers, public policy makers, and investors - to join the Juniper family of communities to create a national long term care system where, like the evergreen Juniper, the nation’s aged and challenged can be alive in all seasons of life.
Several of our socially responsible initiatives – which we sincerely hope resonate with you-are described here:
