Lynne S. Katzmann, President and CEO. Since 1988, Dr. Katzmann has been the founder, President and majority shareholder of Juniper Partners, Inc. Active within the health care industry for nearly 3 decades, Dr. Katzmann is responsible for the strategic direction and overall management of the company.
Prior to founding Juniper Partners, Dr. Katzmann served as Director of Health Care Operations at Metrocare, Inc., an American Stock Exchange company controlled by JMK Associates. Dr. Katzmann identified nursing community properties for acquisition, coordinated due diligence efforts, arranged appropriate financing and had responsibility for the operation of over 1,000 beds. She was also responsible for the development, operations and divestiture of Health Initiatives, an HMO management and development company. During her tenure at Metrocare, the company’s stock price increased from $14.00 to $28.75 per share, the price at which the company was sold.
Prior to joining JMK Associates, Dr. Katzmann was the Director of Marketing and one of the founders of HealthChoice, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation based in Portland, Oregon which provided marketing and enrollment services to developing HMO’s and information and referral services to Medicare beneficiaries. Prior to HealthChoice, Dr. Katzmann was employed in a variety of public sector roles where she was responsible for the creation of Oregon’s statewide universal health plan as well as the expansion of the Oregon Medicaid program for children and pregnant women. Ms. Katzmann received her B.A. degree from Tufts University with high honors in 1977. She received her doctorate from The London School of Economics in 1992 where she specialized in the study of health policy and international health system models. She currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Greyston Health Services and on the Boards of The Social Venture Network (Chair 1995 to 1997), ArtsConnection (Treasurer), Naropa University (Secretary), and the Greyston Foundation. She is a member of the New Jersey Hospital Association Assisted Living Task Force and the Committee of 200.

Donald F. Breneman, Regional Management Reporting & Special Systems Analyst.
Mr. Breneman joined Juniper in 2003 and is responsible for operational analysis, national purchasing, insurance administration and management reporting. In addition, he provides operational oversight in our Pennsylvania region. He previously served as part of the senior-management team with Sharon Regional Health System Behavioral Health Services and was responsible for administrative and clinical program management, consultation, and program development and training.
Before joining Juniper, Mr. Breneman served as a private consultant to numerous agencies providing risk analysis, specialized training, strategic program evaluation, and quality / performance improvement design and implementation. Mr. Breneman received his BA in Psychology and a Gerontology Certificate from West Virginia University and his Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Slippery Rock University. |

Diane F. Byrne , Vice President of Program, Development, Training & Operational Oversight. Ms. Byrne is responsible for design, development and implementation of Juniper University and our signature "Alive in All Seasons" program to encourage active bodies, engaged minds and fulfilled spirits. She has over 30 years within geriatric services with roles and responsibilities that have included national level corporate-wide development of innovative, comprehensive, programs.
Before joining Juniper, Ms. Byrne was the National Director of Specialty Care and Activities for Atria, where she was responsible for the development, standardization and implementation of dementia and wellness programs for 115 assisted living communities in 22 states. She is the former Executive Director and Board Member of the Alzheimer’s Association South Central Pennsylvania Chapter. Her Alzheimer’s poetry was part of a national exhibit "The Art of Caring" and featured on NPR. She has consulted in the development of award-winning collateral materials and lectured at various national conferences including the National Alzheimer’s Educational Conference. Ms. Byrne received her BS in Special Education/Psychology in 1974 and a Certificate in Therapeutic Recreation in 1984 from Southern Connecticut State University. |

Linda Donato, Vice President of Operations and Director of Long-Term Care Accounting and Secretary:
Ms. Donato oversees the company’s Florida, Chatham, NJ and Forest Hills, PA operations. She is also responsible for all long-term care accounting. Prior to joining Juniper, she worked at Hubco Health Care Group from 1988-2002 in various capacities as a Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement and accounting specialist. Prior to her work at Hubco, Ms. Donato served as a Finance Administrator for Meritcare, a regional a long term care owner/operator. She has over 25 years of experience as long term care finance and accounting professional. Ms. Donato holds a degree in Applied Sciences from Middlesex County College. |

Charles W. Hastings, Jr. , Vice President of Finance and Business Development.
Mr. Hastings joined Juniper in 1996 and is primarily responsible for all finance-related activities of the firm including development and operational budgeting and cash management, tax and audit preparation, proforma development, acquisitions analysis, construction and permanent financing, and investor reporting. An experienced finance professional, Mr. Hastings worked previously for The Winslow Corporation, a real estate syndicator specializing in structuring and placing tax credit limited partnership interests with corporate investors. While at the Winslow Corporation, Mr. Hastings responsibilities included proforma development, financial projections, and deal structure and tax credit placement. Mr. Hastings was also employed in a financial capacity for the Mediplex Group, a national operator of skilled nursing homes, and Marakon Associates, a strategic management consulting firm specializing in helping publicly traded companies manage to enhance shareholder value. Mr. Hastings received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Princeton University in 1988 and his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1994, graduating with a dual major in Health Care Management and Entrepreneurial Management. |
| Jenny Graham, Regional Director of Western Operations.
Ms. Graham oversees all aspects of Juniper’s Colorado facilities. In that capacity, she is responsible for operations, marketing, financial, human resources and quality. Prior to her promotion into this position, Jenny served as Executive Director at two of Juniper’s most successful facilities in Colorado, Juniper Village at Louisville and Juniper Village at Aurora. Both of these facilities specialize in providing assisted living for residents with memory impairments.
Prior to Juniper, Ms. Graham served as the Residence Director at an Alterra Clare Bridge facility in Colorado for four years. Prior to that position, Ms. Graham was Director of Administration at Bee Hive Homes (a memory care provider based in Colorado). Ms. Graham graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Special Education. She is certified by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America as a Quality Consultant. |

Charo Rhodes, Western Regional Director of Community Wellness and Well-being.
Charo Rhodes is a new addition to the Juniper Communities team. She is in charge of quality assurance and is also responsible for programs that support resident well being.
Before joining Juniper in August 2009, Ms. Rhodes was a Director of Nursing at Mariner Healthcare and Continuum Healthcare. While at Mariner Healthcare, she received the Director of Nursing “Circle of Excellence” Award. Ms. Rhodes was also a nurse consultant for Sava Senior Care, Clinical Compliance Concepts and Blue Grouse Health Care Center. Ms. Rhodes received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Northern Colorado, where she graduated summa cum laude. She is a licensed R.N in Colorado, Wyoming and California and received her Nursing Home Administrators License in Colorado. |

Cindy Longfellow, Regional Director Community Relations, Western Region.
Cindy Longfellow is responsible for providing marketing and sales support for our Colorado communities. She works directly with our community based teams to strengthen our community outreach and promote external business development. Ms. Longfellow joined Juniper Communities in September 2003 as the Director of Community Relations at Juniper Village at Louisville. In March 2008 she began providing sales and marketing assistance at Juniper Village-The Spearly Center. She assumed her current responsibilities in November 2008.
Ms. Longfellow has over 25 years experience in health care and related services including vocational rehabilitation, cost containment, and most recently eight plus years of experience specifically in assisted living and skilled nursing communities. Her experience has included work both in marketing and operations within these organizations. Ms. Longfellow completed the nationally recognized Travelers Insurance sales training program. She is a certified assisted living director in the state of Colorado and has a BA in psychology from the University of Minnesota. |

Ronda Duckworth
Ronda Duckworth joined Juniper in 2008 as the Eastern Regional Director of Sales and Marketing. She has worked in the healthcare field for the past 18 years with 10 years of experience and focus in Assisted Living. Before joining Juniper, Ms. Duckworth worked as an Executive Director for Sunrise Senior Living in western, Pennsylvania. Prior to that, while working for Sunrise, she spent 5 years working as both a community level sales professional as well as a regional level sales professional focusing primarily on developing census in challenged communities. In addition to her sales and marketing and operational experience, Ms. Duckworth also brings a clinical background to the Juniper team. Ms. Duckworth received her BS in Nursing and Psychology from Georgia State University and is a licensed administrator.

Richard S. Ottens
Mr. Ottens is responsible for managing interior design and layout, materials acquisition and installation at each Juniper community and also monitors all refurbishment and renovation projects. In addition, Mr. Ottens has pioneered Juniper’s work in creating buildings which are energy efficient, have improved indoor air quality and use products which come from recycled or renewable resources. Mr. Ottens has also developed significant expertise in using environmentally influenced practices for new construction, interior design, refurbishment, renovation and maintenance. Mr. Ottens was educated at Syracuse University and the Parsons School of Design in New York City. |
